At Bridstow CE Primary School, we are delighted to announce that we have recently adopted the Harmony Project Curriculum to underpin all our teaching and learning across the foundation subjects.
The Harmony Project Curriculum is rooted in the principles of nature’s harmony and offers a holistic approach to education. By weaving together subjects such as history, geography, art, music, science, and design technology through meaningful, interconnected themes, we help our pupils see the bigger picture and understand their place in the world.
“When education allows students to learn from Nature – rather than simply learning about Nature – they are better placed to engage with issues of sustainability.” — The Harmony Project
We believe that education should nurture the whole child—academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. The Harmony Project Curriculum supports this vision by encouraging curiosity, creativity, and a deep respect for the natural world. Our pupils are inspired to ask questions, make connections, and develop a lifelong love of learning.
“Our approach to education teaches students wholeness, not separateness. With this in mind, we support educators in developing curricula and educational practices based on enquiries, or ‘big questions’, through which students can learn not just about Nature, but also from Nature.” — The Harmony Project
While we are passionate about providing a broad and balanced curriculum, we are equally committed to ensuring that every child makes excellent progress and achieves or exceeds expected standards in all curriculum areas. Our approach combines the best of holistic, values-led education with rigorous assessment and high expectations for all.
By embedding the Harmony Project Curriculum at the heart of our foundation subjects, we are preparing our pupils not just for academic success, but for life. We want every child at Bridstow to flourish—confident in their abilities, compassionate towards others, and equipped to make a positive difference in the world.
